Hey! On the phone, you made it sound like you guys were in some crusty little apartment on a 2nd floor with crusty furniture!!! I was imagining you two in some freezing hole of a dump, huddled over a space heater, with sirens blaring outside your window.

Aaron's first mission "apartment" (cinder block hut with only a partial ceiling/roof) had electric coils that heated their bath water...it worked great as long as you remembered to shut off the power before you got in...or you would die instead. Remember our basement apartment in provo that flooded when the pipes burst in the ceiling? Or how about the apartment in Green Bay where we had to shrink wrap the entrance and use the sliding glass door because of the smoke outpost in the hallway outside our front door...and the "love-you-long-time" couple above us? Aside from the air mattress. I think you have it pretty nice.
I'm sending you a cute red corduroy slipcover for the love seat in the mail tomorrow. It should be there by friday for your "ghetto" apartment. Love you guys.

Really. your place is NICE.

Actually, I said the apt. was very nice but unfurnished. It should be nice because it is as much or more a month than a house payment. We have managed to collect some free furniture and other than the fact that it doesn't match it is working out very nicely. Our air mattress is even pretty comfy. We feel very fortunate to have found this place in a nice safe neighborhood. Our fireplace keeps us nice and warm and all of the dogs in the adjoining apts. let us know when someone is approaching.

We love you and thanks for thinking of us and sending the slip cover. The red will be perfect to brighten things up around here.

I learned today that when it snows it will be warmer. That doesn't make sense to me but everyone says it is so.

Hey! I've decided to try to jump into this century and get involved in this whole blogging thing...I don't know it sounds risky to me...we'll see if I can figure it out! The condo is darling... and yes, it has to be 30-40 degrees WARM to snow, which we prefer to -0 icy conditions-- and don't even get me started on wind chill factor! Tami

What happened to the table that seats 16??

You are SO your daughters' mother! For a minute I thought I was reading one of their blogs. :) Enjoy the snow - it's a good reason to snuggle up with a warm blanket and a fire!
